BUPA start feeling the heat

Coverad has been working closely with BUPA to design a new, unique, portable heater for the fast-approaching winter months. Called Modul4, this is a Low Surface-temperature electrical fan heater, for use where spot-heating might be needed in applications where LST compliance is required. It has all the safety features needed for use in such places as Care Homes, Hospitals, Schools and Sheltered Accommodation. It can be used to replace the normal heating during breakdown or maintenance, or to add background heating when required.



The Modul4 has a 1kW heat output, and is connected to a simple 13A socket (via an integral RCD for safety). The unit incorporates a number of safety features, such as separate monitoring of incoming and outgoing air, and case temperature, heater cut-out if the heater is tilted (with audible warning), internal baffles in case of liquid ingress, and low voltage controls.



The Modul4 is also fitted with a variable temperature control, and a 'Boost' button, for speedy warming of a chilly room. Other convenience features include a recessed handle and roller for portability, and an integral cable-tidy and 'plug-park'.
