Coverad Achieve CHAS Recognition - NEW
Coverad are pleased to confirm that we have recently been accredited in the CHAS (Contractors Health And Safety) scheme. This accreditation confirms that Coverad meets all the demanding requirements of the scheme with regard to Safety and Welfare of our staff and other personnel, when we are working on site during construction phases.

The scheme assesses health and safety for all types of suppliers, designers and consultants. The aim of the scheme is to save time and resources by avoiding unnecessary duplication in the first stage of competence assessment; the CDM Core criteria, which ensures that we can react speedily to requested for on-site works.

The accreditation demonstrates that we have procedures in place to ensure that methods of work, record keeping, health and safety standards, and on-site welfare are all to the highest standards.

    PSS take over Coverad
In February 2008 PSS became aware that the Coverad business was available. After reviewing the trading history and profile of the business the PSS board concluded that Coverad offered a good strategic fit. Both companies had a large presence in the public sector, PSS needed to strengthen its management team, the companies had similar values and commitment to customer service. PSS was looking for a new complementary business stream and had investment capital available. The deal was negotiated by Kevin Coffey and the Coverad business was purchased at the end of February 2008. The business has now fully integrated as a division of PSS at Basingstoke and uses our well proven CRM system and underlying Quality Management System. The commitment of the new people in the business has been exceptional and Coverad is now a superb contributor and welcome addition to this family centred business.
